    A Rich History

    John Young owned the land in 1839, and it was later named “Youngsville” in his honor. The town was incorporated in 1875 and since then the William A. Jeffreys House, located in Youngsville, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This house is a historic plantation built in 1842 and incorporates Federal style frame dwellings and Greek Revival style interior.
